The American, an Icon

This is the only known picture of the American, a Motorcycle was designed and built in the state of Ohio by Bill Kennedy from Elyria. It was designed to be a 750cc vertical twin similar to the Triumph of England. It was very fast but lacked a little power on the 1/2mile and mile tracks. The handling was very good.

Several other riders rode the bike But as far as we know Ted was the only rider to score National points with this bike, He got second at a National TT
(it may have been at Peoria Ill).
